Whilst recently trawling through the internet for pictures that show sophisticated products photographed in a cool way for a moodboard I stumbled across some ads for Aston Martin that I found quite humorous. Strikingly though I instantly thought that it wasn’t the kind of advertisement that Aston Martin would normally run. Even with my knowledge of cars (which is lower than a snakes stomach) they seemed off brand. I always think that ads for Aston Martin look serious, moody and sexy like this…
However the ads I found looked like this…
It turns out that the ads were run by Aston Martin of New England, who are Aston Martin’s Heritage dealer for the United States. I can only assume that they would of had approval from Aston Martin to produce the ads which show that they have a sense of humour. This discovery has reinforced my belief that no matter who the client is, it is always worth throwing in a controversial and risky idea as it may be just what they are looking for to entice new customers.
