It would seem this year that Jack Frost hasn’t yet returned from his summer holidays as once again this weekend we bask in double figure temperatures. With only four weeks till Christmas, the poignant reminder of this impending celebration falls to our good old friend of advertising and marketing, (oh and our calendars!). Whether it’s the influx of emails promoting Black Friday, the ad break during ‘I am a celebrity’ or a mailer promoting the latest Christmas deals on a frozen turkey, the Christmas spirit seems to have finally arrived with an almighty bang.

A BRAKE from tradition
Graham NashWhilst recently trawling through the internet for pictures that show sophisticated products photographed in a cool way for a moodboard I stumbled across some ads for Aston Martin that I found quite humorous. These Ads are no yolk!
Jason DaveyWill Cabury’s advertising remain the same in coming years since the take over by Kraft?

Make mine a Guinness
Graham NashAlthough I personally prefer Murphy’s Irish Stout (it never seems to be in many pubs, but like the drink, I’m not bitter…HONEST!), I often enjoy a lovely pint of Guinness. So to celebrate St Patrick’s Day I thought it may be nice to delve into the archives of the phenomenally successful campaigns for the famous stout.

Blue 285 can give you the blues
Marc WhiteOne of the many tasks and responsibilities of a designer is to ensure colour consistency across all mediums. From the initial approval and excitement of a new corporate identity project and after many revisions and tweaks everyone is loving the use of Pantone blue 285. Fantastic achievement, pop the champagne corks!
