whitecreative managed the complete design and layout of Asda Baby magazine, incorporating all the recognisable elements of the Asda brand and feel into an informative, entertaining magazine that delivered reassurance, credibility and tangible benefit to the end user.

187,500 printed brochures were produced, with 500 copies supplied to each of Asda’s 374 stores for a trial run. All magazines were gone within days.

the brief:

Asda wanted a magazine design that would engage with new and expectant mums, build credibility with and recruited consumers to Asda’s Baby shop, and drive post-birth shopper loyalty and retention.

The design also needed to reflect the needs and aspirations of the Asda customer while enabling leading brands – including Johnsons Baby, CALPOL® and Procter & Gamble - the brand space to promote their products.

Leading Consumer Healthcare brand, Johnson & Johnson work in conjunction with Asda to produce
a quarterly baby magazine for Asda customers. Asda, is one of the UK’s best known brands - part of Wal-Mart Stores, it is one of the UK’s ‘big four’ supermarket chains.

The free magazine contains informative, relevant editorial, product promotion and contains coupons to drive sales in their baby category.
